the one rule, and the short version of everything else

terms of use

Last updated August 25, 2026

This is a room full of people at the worst part of a breakup. It only works if it is safe. There is zero tolerance for abusive users and for objectionable content. That is the whole agreement; the rest is detail.

01 zero tolerance

By using NO CONTACT CLUB you agree not to post, send, or share content that is:

  • abusive, harassing, threatening, or bullying
  • hateful, or a slur aimed at anyone
  • sexual, sexually suggestive, or romantic pressure of any kind
  • encouraging anyone to hurt or kill themselves
  • spam, scams, or advertising
  • someone else’s private information
  • illegal, or content you have no right to share

Post any of it and your account can be removed from the app without warning, permanently. We do not issue strikes for the things on this list.

Swearing is not on that list. You can say the true, ugly thing about your own heartbreak here — that is what this place is for. What you cannot do is aim it at another person.

02 what we do about it

  • We filter automatically. Slurs, sexual solicitation and messages telling someone to die are refused before they are ever stored or shown to anybody.
  • You can report anything, from anywhere. Press and hold any message — in a pod or in a 2am thread — to report it. No form, no email.
  • You can block anyone, instantly. Blocking takes effect the moment you tap it. Reporting someone blocks them for you automatically, before a human has looked at anything.
  • We act on reports within 24 hours. A real person reviews every report. If it is objectionable, the content is removed and the person who posted it is ejected.
  • You can delete your own messages at any time. Press and hold anything you wrote and it comes off everyone’s screen immediately.

03 who this is for

You must be 18 or older to use NO CONTACT CLUB.

You are responsible for what you post. You keep whatever rights you have in it; you give us permission to show it to the people in your pod, which is the only place it goes. There are no public profiles and no way for a stranger to message you.

04 what this is not

This is peer support. It is not therapy, medical advice, or a crisis service — the people answering you are others going through the same thing, not professionals. If you are in danger, use the crisis option that sits one tap from every screen in the app, or call your local emergency number.

There is no AI pretending to be a person here. Every message you receive from another member was typed by a human being.

05 the ordinary bits

The app is provided as it is, without warranties, and we are not liable for what other members say to you — though we will act on it when you tell us. You can delete your account, and everything in it, from Settings at any time. We can end your access if you break the rule in section 01.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, the app will ask you to agree again rather than quietly updating this page.

06 reaching a human

To report inappropriate activity or anything else: titef.beckham@gmail.com. There is also a “report a problem” door inside the app, in Safety & settings, that reaches the same person.
